Hydrogen Features

Hydrogen has a higher energy density by volume ratio, so it is more suitable to be used as an energy source for aircrafts, which requires a high amount of energy to operate

Hydrogen (4,000~8,000) > Gasoline (2,000) > Lithium Battery (200) (Unit : wh/kg)

A load of Gasoline / Battery increase the weight of UAV and occurs inefficiency since the flight power demand also raises.

Long endurance UAVs are primarily powering by the hydrogen.

Hydrogen Safety

hydrogen is much safer than conventional fossil fuels in public in consideration of the properties of hydrogen (diffusivity, non-toxicity, etc.) with the protection of the container.

▶ The Innovation Technology Institute of George Washington University also concluded that ‘hydrogen is much safer than conventional fuels’ at their report ‘Hydrogen and Legal Systems – Safety and Responsibility’

High Reliability

If hydrogen escapes from the container, it immediately spreads out into atmosphere through flaming

Hydrogen containers consist of carbon fiber composite; hence, the container will be ripped if the hydrogen leaks out instead of leading the explosion.

Unlike other fossil fuels, hydrogen does not release toxic elements in case of combustion. Also, the level of radiant heat is 10% compared to fossil fuels, so the danger of burns and fire possibility is low.
